Ground basil

Ground basil is ideal for preparing many delicious dishes. It can be used to prepare dinner dishes, as well as desserts. Although it has been known in Poland for a long time, not everyone knows the full range of possibilities for its use in the kitchen. It goes great with meat, fish and vegetable dishes. It is an ideal addition to stuffing, pates, sausages, beef, lamb and liver. It gives dishes a sour, cooling taste. Ground basil is sprinkled on salads, especially those made from tomatoes and mozzarella. It is perfect for seasoning other vegetables such as cucumbers, beans, peas or zucchini, as well as for rice salads, one-pot dishes and casseroles. Basil added to marinades, sauces or salads gives them a spicy-balsamic aroma and a slightly sweet note.

Basil is valued in herbal medicine for its health properties. It stimulates appetite and aids digestion, and also facilitates the absorption of food. It has stimulating, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects. It soothes stomach problems, has antispasmodic and carminative effects, preventing flatulence. Additionally, it has antitussive effects and supports kidney function.
